type='text'>to me marketing is all about the process of listen...</title><content type='html'>to me marketing is all about the process of listening to customers in order to understand their needs and wants, in order to satisfy those needs and wants efficiently and profitably. This is why I took like a duck to water, when I started to use social media for marketing purposes. I see social media as a medium not a strategy. Now you do have to change tactics and strategies in order to be effective in social media, but I&amp;#39;d argue that those strategies have always worked, its just that they may not have been as effective in other medium.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What is traditional marketing? It seems to consist of pushing a message or selling according to many people&amp;#39;s definition. I don&amp;#39;t really think that&amp;#39;s the real definition of marketing, instead of just taking a product and selling it, rather marketing is the process of listening to customers seeing what they want and then selling more as a result. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Social media is a great tool for listening to customers.
